Mosel Wine Region

Discover the dramatic steep slate vineyards of the Mosel Valley, where some of the world's most elegant and mineral-driven Rieslings are crafted on impossibly steep slopes along Germany's most storied wine river, creating ethereal wines that epitomize delicacy and finesse.

About Mosel

The Mosel represents the apotheosis of German Riesling, stretching along the meandering Mosel River from the French border through steep, narrow valleys to Koblenz. Home to some of the world's steepest vineyards (up to 65% gradient), this 8,800-hectare region produces wines of unparalleled delicacy and complexity. The dark Devonian slate soils, combined with the river's moderating influence, create a unique terroir that yields light-bodied wines with electrifying acidity and profound mineral depth. The region encompasses the legendary Mittelmosel between Trier and Traben-Trarbach, plus the pristine tributaries of Saar and Ruwer.
